is my credit card and personal information so safe? Are there any alternate payment options?
We use PayPal and Regnow to process our payments. You need not be concerned about your credit card number and personal information since all of the transaction is performed directly on their secure site.
With over twenty five million registered users and growing, PayPal is the Internet's preferred online payment processor. All of the transaction is performed on PayPal's secured site using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available). It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet. After your payment is approved, PayPal sends us a notification. We do not see your credit card details. While paying for Sem-Sim, your experience is totally safe!
Regnow is one of the most popular payment processor for software companies on the web and is totally safe. They use a VeriSign certificate for Secure Socket Layer (SSL) transactions. VeriSign certificates offer strong RSA-based encryption for secure transactions and allow a wider variety of browsers to be used than with certificates from other companies. All of this means that your credit card information is sent directly to the credit card processor in a highly secure manner, and that the cherished "lock" appears in your browser, assuring you that the transaction is being transmitted securely.
If you are not comfortable ordering online with a credit card, you are welcome to choose an offline order option in the payment section of the order process when using RegNow. RegNow accepts mail, fax, wire, and PO (if applicable) ordering options in addition to ordering online . RegNow also accepts phone orders for Sem-Sim through their 24x7 order desk at 1-877-353 7297. How can I resolve "run time error 430"?
This is probably because you do not have MDAC 2.1 or newer version on
your computer. MDAC is a standard data access component that is
installed on all new systems. Perhaps you uninstalled some software that
wrongly uninstalled MDAC from your machine. MDAC is distributed free by
Microsoft and ships with internet explorer 5 and above, XP, windows 2000.
Please resolve this by going to Microsoft's site and installing MDAC
(2.8 is latest version). This will be useful not just for Sem-Sim,
but for a lot of other softwares also, since it is assumed to be a standard pre-installed component on most systems.
